A bespoke ring is a decision about the people you trust as much as the stone. So we keep it unhurried and one to one, by appointment, with the same hands on it from the first sketch to the final polish. Most of what we are proudest of started as a rough drawing on this side of the counter.

You view loose diamonds and coloured stones from the worldwide market. Every centre stone is certified by HRD, GIA or IGI, natural or lab grown.
The workshop upstairs makes the piece by hand, a few weeks from approval, then it is hallmarked at the Edinburgh Assay Office.
You collect it on Great Western Road, with home care guidance, or we send it tracked and insured anywhere in the UK.

Plain and diamond set bands in platinum, 18kt and 9kt gold. We shape a fitted wedding ring to follow the contour of your engagement ring so the two sit flush with no gap. Court, flat court and bespoke profiles, all cut and finished at the bench.
An inherited ring you never wear, a piece that no longer fits the life. We reset the stones you already own and reclaim the metal into something current. As one customer put it, her remodelled ring came back much more solid than it went in.
Bracelets, earrings, necklaces and pendants, all made in house to individual requirements by a team of on site goldsmiths. If you can describe it or draw it, the workshop on Great Western Road can make it and hallmark it.
Blair and Sheridan was formed in 2012 by Douglas Blair and Roddy Sheridan, after years of working together. Douglas brings two decades of design and goldsmithing, all bench and metal work and stone setting. Roddy is a qualified polished diamond grader who sources stones from the worldwide market, including the cutting rooms of Antwerp.
They are not a counter with a workshop somewhere else. The bench is upstairs, on Great Western Road, and the team on it has more than ninety years of goldsmithing between them. The Glasgowist put it best: every piece is Clydebuilt.
The fitted, or shaped, wedding ring is some of the most precise work on the bench. We cut the band to follow the exact contour of the engagement ring beside it, so the two meet with no gap. Here are the details most people never think to ask about.
